I've been backing the Panthers throughout the playoffs, confident that they are the team to beat in the East. Even with them trailing 0-2 in the series, I'm not ready to sound the alarm just yet. That said, this current line is borderline outrageous. Let's face it—the Maple Leafs have been one of the hottest teams in the NHL over the last two months, and they've clearly been the quicker, more composed team so far in this matchup.
The Panthers have had noticeable trouble keeping up with Toronto's speed and have been shaky on defense. Adding to their struggles, Matthew Tkachuk, who was a major factor in previous rounds, has suddenly gone quiet. Sure, there's always the argument that Florida can turn things around at home—they've shown resilience in the past. But just because the game is being played in Sunrise, we're supposed to believe that justifies this kind of pricing?
I’m not buying it. The value is absolutely on the Maple Leafs in this spot. They’ve been the sharper team, and getting them at this price is simply too good to pass up.
